Jinder Mahal

One of the biggest names among the lot that were released by WWE, Jinder Mahal made his in-ring debut in 2011. After being a success at NXT, his biggest achievement during his stint at WWE was his 170-day reign as the champion. He defeated Randy Orton at Backlash in 2017, followed by a United States Championship victory at WrestleMania 34.

Indus Sher (Veer and Sanga)

Veer and Sanga, the Indian-origin wrestlers, made their debuts in 2018 at NXT. Although they failed to have the desired impact, they managed to be a part of the main roster as singles competitors under the management of Jinder Mahal.

Xyon Quinn

Formerly a professional rugby player, Australian Xyon Quinn signed for WWE in 2018 on a developmental contract. Using his real name, Daniel Vidot, at first, his on-screen debut came on April 24, 2020, on SmackDown, where he lost a singles match to Sheamus. On October 20 of the same year, he was reintroduced as Xyon Quinn. In an episode of Raw last year, he was among the contenders who fought in the battle royale to qualify for the Intercontinental Championship match. He was, however, eliminated.

Xia Li

Xhao Lia, known by her in-ring name Xia Li, made history in 2017 by becoming the first Chinese woman to compete in the ring at the inaugural Mae Young Classic. She was a part of the NXT roster between 2019 to 2021 before being signed for SmackDown. In 2023, she was drafted to Raw, where she had the highlight of her career as she was involved in a feud with Becky Lynch.

Von Wagner

Calvin Bloom, who performed under the ring name Von Wagner, made his in-ring debut in 2019 and his on-screen debut in 2021, on an episode of NXT. After a successful first few months, where there was a lot of promise on display, his career failed to take flight.

Cameron Grimes

Making his debut in 2019 in NXT’s Breakout Tournament, Cameron Grimes had a successful run on the brand. He was among the fan favourites and was involved in a memorable feud with LA Knight. After winning the NXT North American Championship in 2023, Grimes was drafted to SmackDown, where he failed to create any impact.
