IPL 2024: RISHABH PANT, KL RAHUL, SHREYAS IYER STAR IN NEW PROMO
The Indian Premier League 2024 season is set to start from March 22. While the dates for the entire tournament has not been announced yet, the official broadcaster of the tournament - Star Sports - has released their first promo.
The promo features Rishabh Pant, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul and Hardik Pandya in a never-seen-before avatar, catering to a wide range of audience. Interestingly all four players are currently out of the Indian team due to respective injuries.
The tournament will begin on Friday with a high-voltage clash between Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore at the MA Chidambaram Stadium. The first double header will be held in the very next day with Punjab Kings taking on Delhi Capitals and Kolkata Knight Riders going up against SunRisers Hyderabad.
Chennai Super Kings will come into the tournament as the defending champion and will hunt for a record sixth title in the Indian Premier League. On the other hand, Delhi Capitals will be desperate to get Rishabh Pant back, even as a specialist batter.
There were big changes made to the teams ahead of the new season. IPL 2024 trading window saw one of the biggest transfers in the history of the tournament with Hardik Pandya moving back to Mumbai Indians. MI have already announced that Pandya will captain the franchise.
MI bringing back Pandya in their ranks saw other major developments. Shubman Gill was made the GT captain, while MI were forced to trade Cameron Green to Royal Challengers Bangalore.
