GENELIA MAKES A SUSTAINABLE STATEMENT IN AN UPCYCLED POWER SUIT AT HEERAMANDI PREMIERE

Genelia Deshmukh is a ray of sunshine when it comes to her red carpet look. A powerhouse of positive energy, Genelia has always left an impressive impact with her style choices.

At the premiere of Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar, Genelia made a statement with her red carpet look. Genelia adorned an upcycled multi-pattern power shoulder suit designed by renowned couturier Varun Bahl. The multi-coloured upcycled patchwork and embroidered power suit featured wide leg trousers and a power shoulder jacket. She completed her power suit look with a white shirt.

Varun Bahl has always believed that sustainability is the future of the fashion industry. Keeping this in mind, this upcycled multi-patchwork power shoulder suit by Varun Bahl Couture is designed using Bahl’s signature patchwork embroidery that has been upcycled from his archival pieces. Thus, it is a one-of-a-kind piece that takes the brand towards a more responsible future.

Styled by celebrity stylists Namrata Deepak, Vanshika Bhatt, and Umar Shaikh, Genelia adorned jewellery pieces from Tara Fine Jewellery and her flawless hair and makeup were done by Rishina Acharya.

Genelia took to Instagram and posted a series of images captured by photographer Harnesh Joshi. Feeling rather poetic and philosophical, Genelia captioned the images with some words of encouragement. She said, “Feet always on the ground, N head in the clouds, never letting anyone bring you down and that girl should always be you.”

The vibrant hues of the embroidery and the signature patchwork make for a fun and functional look this summer. You can style the power shoulder jacket with a pair of shorts and the wide trousers with a bralette.
