TOVINO THOMAS EXTENDS SUPPORT TO WRESTLERS PROTEST, SAYS ‘THEY SHOULD BE HEARD AND THEIR DEMANDS SHOULD BE CONSIDERED’

Actor Tovino Thomas stands in solidarity with Indian wrestlers Vinesh Phogat, Sakshi Malik, Bajrang Punia, and others as they protest against Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, the head of the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI), who has been accused of sexually harassing female athletes.

Voicing against injustice, Tovino Thomas took to his official Instagram handle and said that the wrestlers' voices must be heard and should be considered by the top authorities. He further added that They are the ones who have raised our nation's success to new heights in international sports arenas, the ones who have embodied the epitome of victory for all our hopes and aspirations.

The ‘2018’ actor’s Instagram note read, “They should be heard & their demands should be considered. Keep aside their achievements and accolades, but there is a justice that each and every citizen of this nation deserves, and that justice should not be delayed, never be denied !”

On the last day, the Mollywood director Anjali Menon also shared her support for the wrestlers’ as she penned a note on her social media handle saying that it's truly heartbreaking to witness the top wrestlers of our nation being subjected to humiliation.
