MAHESH BABU PENS EMOTIONAL NOTE AS HIS DAD'S MOSAGALLAKU MOSAGADU RE-RELEASES IN THEATRES, SAYS 'NANNA GARU WAS A LEGEND'

Mahesh Babu's father, Krishna, was also a Tollywood superstar who is celebrated by fans even today. May 31 is Superstar Krishna's birth anniversary and it is also the day when SSMB 28 title will be revealed. SSMB 28 is directed by Trivikram Srinivas and stars Pooja Hegde, Sreeleela and Jagapathi Babu in important roles. 

On this occasion, Superstar Krishna's superhit 1971 film Mosagallaku Mosagadu is being re-released in theatres in 4K technology. Mahesh Babu penned an emotional note to his fans and his father's fans.

BIGGEST FAN OF SUPERSTAR KRISHNA

The Tollywood superstar wrote, "I am one of my father's biggest fans. To all our fans, among many great movies made by Superstar Krishna Garu under the banner of Padmalaya Studios, Mosagallaku Mosagadu means special love and admiration. Nanna garu was a courageous man who made a Telugu movie above Hollywood standards and made it a huge blockbuster in those days. Fifty-two years ago, with horses, gun fights, huge settings, beautiful locations, treasure hunts, huge casts, cowboy getups, and over-the-top budgets, Nanna holds the credit of showing this movie in 50 countries not only for Telugu audiences but also in all languages like English, Hindi, Tamil, and Bengali."

SUPERSTAR KRISHNA A VISIONARY

The Maharishi star went on to add, "My father was a legend and visionary who introduced every new technology to Telugu cinema, such as the first stereo sound, the first cinema scope, the first 70MM, the first James Bond, the first cowboy etc. In memory of my father, who brought all new aspects to Telugu cinema and raised the level of Telugu cinema worldwide."
