DHRUV VIKRAM, MARI SELVARAJ'S BIOPIC ON ARJUNA AWARDEE KABBADI PLAYER TO KICKSTART IN AUGUST

Dhruv Vikram and Mari Selvaraj announced their project two years ago but it is only now that the movie is going on floors. This Mari Selvaraj film is a biopic of Tamil Nadu kabbadi player Manathi Ganesan, who is an Arjuna Awardee. The movie will kickstart in August, said sources. The movie is apparently being produced by Pa Ranjith's Neelam Productions.

Manathi Ganesan is also related to Mari Selvaraj. When he announced the film, the director stated, "He is an Arjuna Awardee and a very close relative. I always wanted to feature his story."

MARI SELVARAJ AND MAAMANNAN

Director Mari Selvaraj is currently busy with Udhayanidhi Stalin's last film, Maamannan, the audio launch of which is happening on June 1. Udhayanidhi became Minister for Youth Welfare and Sports Development of Tamil Nadu and decided to stop working in films as he could not devote time to both. He felt politics and serving the people was important and since he is TM CM Stalin's son, he is seen as the heir apparent to the party as well.
