ZENDAYA BRINGS DRAMA AND FANTASY TO MET GALA 2024 IN EDGY MAISON MARGIELA CREATION

In a dazzling return to the Met Gala stage after a five-year hiatus, Zendaya, the co-chair of the evening, brought on the drama to the green carpet.

The actress, known for her fashion prowess, once again captured the spotlight with her stunning appearance. The event, held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, saw Zendaya arriving early, along with fellow co-chairs Bad Bunny, Chris Hemsworth, and Jennifer Lopez.

With her signature flair for the unexpected, the star wowed onlookers with her show-stopping ensemble, specially crafted by her longtime stylist, Law Roach. The actress donned a mesmerizing ocean-blue gown designed by Maison Margiela's John Galliano, complete with an eye-catching headpiece to match.

The ensemble perfectly adhered to this year's theme, "Garden of Time," which encouraged guests to embrace thematic fashions inspired by the natural world.

According to Cosmopolitan, for Zendaya's appearance, Galliano created the couture look composed of 'a sage lamé and organza bias-cut dress worn over a duchess satin corset'. The dress features bands of hand-painted metallic crin, a drape and bow layered from aluminum material and iridescent organza, and a corsage hand-embroidered with natural motifs hand-painted in electric blue and emerald green.

Zendaya’s hand-painted plume-like veil and hat wrapped in stockings was created by Stephen Jones for Maison Margiela. And her custom-made Tabi pumps by Christian Louboutin for Maison Margiela.
