SALMAN KHAN HOUSE FIRING: NIA INTERROGATES TWO ACCUSED SHOOTERS TO FIND POSSIBLE 'INTERNATIONAL CONNECTION' IN SHOOTING CASE

The shooting incident outside the Mumbai residence of Bollywood actor Salman Khan has gained considerable attention as the Mumbai Crime Branch has got the National Investigation Agency (NIA) involved in the case.

According to the latest reports on ANI, the two suspected shooters, Sagar Pal and Vicky Gupta, who were apprehended in connection with the shooting case have been interrogated by the NIA to find a possible 'international connection' in the case.

This update comes a day after the Mumbai Police on Thursday told a magistrate court that there is a possibility of an "international connection" in the recent firing outside the Bollywood actor's residence, which the team was probing, and hence sought further remand of the two accused.

The court extended the custody of the duo till April 29. The police sought the extension of their custody by four days for further probe into the matter.

During their custody, the court was told that, firearms, cartridges and mobile phones were seized at the instance of the accused duo.

Meanwhile, the Mumbai Crime Branch officials have arrested two men from Punjab for allegedly supplying guns to the two people who fired shots outside Khan's house. The two men, who were arrested in Punjab, have been identified as Sonu Subhash Chander (37) and Anuj Thapan (32).

The two men were also flown into Mumbai city late Thursday night to join the probe.

The shooting incident outside Salman's house, occurred on April 14 at approximately 5 am when two individuals on motorcycles fired four shots near Galaxy Apartments. Despite Khan being at home during the episode, there were no reported injuries.

Soon after the shooting, Anmol Bishnoi, the brother of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi claimed responsibility for the incident in a social media post. As he currently lives in the US, the NIA was expected to step into the case to investigate the matter.
