Tata Play gains Animax, an OTT platform known for its Japanese anime content. Existing Tata Play Binge subscribers can now stream content from Animax for free, which also offers content from over 31 major OTT platforms such as Disney+ Hotstar, Apple TV+, ZEE5, and more.

Animax is currently the most prominent platform for Japanese anime, offering popular titles like Kuroko's Basketball, Yashahime: Half Demon Princess, Black Clover, Naruto, Haikyu!!, Y School Heroes, and more. Launched in 2004, Animax offers a wide range of programs across popular genres.

Pallavi Puri, Tata Play’s Chief Commercial and Content Officer, said: "With Animax’s support, we are adding another genre to our growing bouquet of content spread – anime. Tata Play Binge viewers will now have a huge selection of popular anime content available to them in one place. With its vast mix of popular OTT apps and a wide range of content offerings, Tata Play Binge ensures that viewers derive maximum value from their subscription."

Tata Play Binge currently offers two subscriptions -- Mega and Super. The Mega plan is priced at Rs 399 a month and offers 31 OTT app subscriptions, while the Super plan costs Rs 299 a month and offers access to 26 OTT apps, including popular platforms like Animax, Disney+ Hotstar, Zee5, and more.

The Tata Play Binge app is available on both the Google Play Store and Apple Store. Smart TV users can also download the app via the Play Store, and it also supports platforms like Amazon Fire Stick. With a single subscription, users can simultaneously stream content on up to four devices.
