Adah Sharma-starrer The Kerala Story recently crossed Rs 200 croe at the box office worldwide. However, after achieving the milestone, the film has been seeing a gradual decline in collection. On its 21st day at the box office, The Kerala Story, directed by Sudipto Sen, saw further dip in collection. Now, it is to be seen if the film will pick up pace over the weekend.
Director Sudipto Sen's The Kerala Story released in theatres on May 5 amid controversies. In fact, the film was initially banned in West Bengal and did not release in Tamil Nadu.

Despite reaching Rs 200 crore at the worldwide box office, the film has been seeing a decline in collection. On Day 21, May 25, the film is estimated to have collected Rs 3 crore, which is its lowest till date.
The 21-day total collection of the film now stands at Rs 213.17 crore. The film registered an occupancy of 12.14 per cent on May 25.

The Kerala Story follows the story of a Hindu woman from Kerala, played by Adah Sharma. She is brainwashed to embrace Islam and sent to Syria, where she is forced to join the ISIS terrorist organisation. She is tortured there. The film is directed by Sudipto Sen and produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah. The Kerala Story has been in the scanner ever since the trailer was released.
