'WANTED TO BECOME AN ACTRESS SINCE CHILDHOOD': HRITHIKA SRINIVAS ON HER JOURNEY IN SOUTH CINEMA

Actress Hrithika Srinivas is pretty much new in the Kannada industry and the niece of former actress Amani. In her short career, she has already shot for four films, of which only two films have been released yet. She will be next seen in the film, Udala, where spoke in the Northern Karnataka dialect. Udala has Prithvi Shamanur in the lead role and is directed by Amol Patil.

Hrithika played Siri in the Kannada film Sound Party released last year. Hrithika shared in an interview that she wanted to be an actress since her childhood and has also acted in a few Tamil films as a child actress.

Hritika Srinivas’ father Srinivas is a popular cinematographer in the Kannada industry. He taught Hritika some acting ideas in her childhood itself. From then on, Hritika Srinivas developed an interest in acting and acted in commercials and films as a child artist. Hritika Srinivas has also acted in three Telugu films. Among them, only one has already been released, with two more films in the post-production stage.

She also acted in the Kannada film Sound Party which brought a good name for her and in the Kannada industry. So, Hritika Srinivas is still pursuing her education in BA English Literature from Mount Carmel College, Bangalore.

“I have already written the final exams. Besides, I also like to hang out with friends and also like to watch films,” she said. Hritika also plans to do a master’s degree as per her mother’s wish.

When asked about her aunt and former actress Amani, Hrithika said, “I was not yet born when Amani garu left the film industry. That is why I could not accompany her to the film sets either. But I got to be with her on the TV sets. She has always supported my acting dreams and gives me suggestions from time to time.”
