DEADPOOL & WOLVERINE NEW POSTER: RYAN REYNOLDS' MERC WITH A MOUTH IS 'MARVEL JESUS'

With just a few months left before the highly-awaited MCU film, Deadpool & Wolverine finally hits theatres, makers are leaving no stone unturned to promote it. Several promotional or marketing materials for the Marvel Studios film have been making their way online, generating more excitement among fans. One such exciting and cool promotional material came out of the CCXP Mexico, showing a brand-new poster of Deadpool & Wolverine. It features the MCU superheroes alongside Vanessa (Morena Baccarin), Blind Al (Leslie Uggams), and Colossus (Stefan Kapičić) on prayer candles.

Well, this is an all-new twist to the film’s promotional strategy, the artwork also confirms some of the old characters reprising their roles in the upcoming film. The poster was handed over to the attendees of the CCXP festival and has now been also released online. While the poster has Ryan Reynolds’s Wade Wilson a K Deadpool taking centre-stage as the ‘Marvel Jesus’, a nickname that his character gave himself in the first teaser, he is followed by the others in the other candles.

Deadpool & Wolverine’s new clip

Besides a couple of interesting hi-res posters of the film, a new Deadpool & Wolverine IMAX trailer has also hit theatres, a clip from which has made its way online.

In this particular clip, one can see Wolverine telling Deadpool to put on his mask as they grab a bite.

The trailer is yet to be released online. However, Marvel Studios is expected to release one final trailer for the threequel before the film’s release.

Directed by Shawn Levy, Deadpool & Wolverine will mark the exciting return of Hugh Jackman’s Logan, aka Wolverine, alongside Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool. The film also features actors like Emma Corrin, Morena Baccarin, Rob Delaney, Leslie Uggams, Karan Soni, and Matthew Macfadyen in significant roles.

Recently, in a conversation with Empire, Reynolds described his upcoming superhero film as “the most Deadpool movie.” Speaking about his character’s bond with Wolverine, he added, “As much as I love to piss him off every day, underneath that is a genuine love story.” The actor, in a previous interview, also shared that he always wanted Hugh to come back.

Deadpool & Wolverine will hit theatres on July 26, 2024.
