'CREW' BOX OFFICE: KAREENA KAPOOR KHAN, KRITI SANON, AND TABU STARRER EARNS NEARLY RS 30 CRORE IN NORTH AMERICA

Tabu, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and Kriti Sanon starrer Crew, directed by Rajesh Krishnan and duly supported by Diljit Dosnajh and Kapil Sharma, has not only gained success in India but also across the globe. The film in India is already inching towards the Rs 80 crore mark, while in North America (USA and Canada), the film has achieved tremendous success. The film has crossed the US$3 million mark in the country, making it one of the most successful female-led Indian films in the circuit.

As per the Venky Box Office, the film in nearly 7 weeks at the box office has earned US $3,584,093 (RRs 29.92 crore), and this is despite the film facing competition from English and Hindi films like Maidaan, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, Dune 2, Kung Fu Panda 4, Money Man, and Civil War. The film was also able to beat Shaitaan’s number at the ticket window. Ajay Devgan’s Shaitaan had earned about US 2,289,398 (Rs 19.11 crore).

Explaining the premise of the film, Kareena Kapoor Khan shared that Crew is a comedy-heist drama on the lines of Ocean’s 11 and Ocean’s 8. The film revolves around the lives of three air hostesses working for a bankrupt airline and how they team up together to save the lives and earnings of all employees of the company.
